Exposure Compensation

The exposure compensation function is easily accessible using the dedicated dial on top of the camera.


According to [1], in A, S, or P modes, moving the exposure compensation knob will lighten or darken the image shown in the EVF or LCD. The actual picture taken mach pretty close the EVF/LCD.

The EC knob tends to wander on it's own - beware/double check it before shooting.

It also has no affect in manual mode (when both aperture and shutter speed are being set manually).

In movie mode, setting exposure compensation before shooting does have effect. During the shot, using the dial does not affect anything.
